What 15 Dollar Bed Sheets Taught Dr Daniel
What 15 Dollar Bed Sheets Taught Dr Daniel
Introduction and Topic Overview
(0:02) Hi, this is Dr. Daniels, and you're listening to Healing with Dr. Daniels. This is the Sunday, March 28, 2021 edition. And today's title is "What I Learned from $15 Bedsheets." Yep, and it can make you healthy. As always, think happens.
Mom's Progress and Family Involvement
(0:29) But first, a report update on mom. I mean, just going from good to better. It's great. Mom is really up and at them, and we kids have like totally hands off. Just, uh, we have a rotation going. Everyone checks, checks for every day. Says, "Hey, hi mom, how you doing?" And everyone's really pleasantly surprised, especially the people who have been less involved because when she came home, semi-comatose, they were like, "Okay, fine. Let's just set our watches for the funeral and we'll be good." And so now it's becoming obvious to everyone that she will most likely make her 90th birthday. She is 89, and the 90th birthday is in November. And we shall see. Yes.
Thoughts on Nursing Homes and Family Care
(1:11) So those of you who are blaming poor Mr. Cuomo for, I don't know, whatever, that’s information for you to realize that a nursing home experience can be, and the cure may be, simply to, as I say, bring them home.
Vitality Capsules Update
(1:32) All right. So that's the mom update. Next is the vitality capsules update. Yay. We have finally got all the ingredients to pass all of the inspections. And so we are ordering the ingredients. It's generally a two-month delay from that point to when the capsules are actually able to ship because there's a whole process. So the samples of each batch have been tested. The batches are shipping. We do retesting. We don't take any chances. And then there’s a production process, and then they are checked for contaminants. And then once all that passes, oh, we check them again to make sure that what we ordered and shipped to the manufacturer actually was put in the capsule. And then once it passes all that, they're shipped out to you. So it's about eight weeks. We have enough supplies to last, I think, about that.
Q&A Process and Vitality Capsules Information
(2:33) All right. That's the vitality capsules update. And of course, at the end of every show, I do answer questions. And if you have questions, they should be emailed to jdanieLS@gmail.com. Not all questions are appropriate for radio. So if your question clearly isn't going to work on radio, then we'll get back to you about that. Let you know that, hey, maybe an appointment would be a better idea. And the rest of the questions, we just simply put them in a file. And I pull from that each week when I answer questions.
(3:11) Next, vitalitycapsules.com. Vitality capsules, of course, is our sponsor. It is the internal cleanser that is comfortable enough for everyday use. And when you go to vitalitycapsules.com, you can, of course, buy vitality capsules. You can schedule appointments. You can check and listen to old replays. You can also schedule appointments. Yay. So vitalitycapsules.com is where it's happening. And of course, we have to remember to take our turpentine.
Candida Cleaner Report and Turpentine Routine
(3:48) Oh, you also at vitalitycapsules.com get the Candida Cleaner report, which is available at no charge. At one point it did sell for as much as $900. Yes. And people were very happy to have it. So now it's available. It is available at no charge. All right.
(4:01) So this is white sugar. Yay. White sugar. As the Chinese would say, every substance on earth has healing powers. There is no such thing as anything that is totally in all cases bad, and I’m happy to report I have found for white sugar, a useful healing purpose. And here it is. All right. So we have turpentine. Yay. Turpentine. And we're going to squirt this right on our sugar. This, by the way, is a teaspoon. It's not a dessert spoon, it's a teaspoon. As you can see, you put sugar on the front two-thirds of the teaspoon, and we douse it with this turpentine. This is about a half teaspoon of turpentine.
Importance of Water and Shilajit
(4:47) And of course, we have our water here. Yay. Water. Yeah. And you have to drink enough water to get it down and you'll feel it going down. So mine is down just about to my stomach. I think that's good enough for now.
(5:17) Then we have Shilajit. Yay. Shilajit. Shilajit is a trace mineral blend. This is Mumio. This is from Russia, aka Siberia. Pop that open. As you can see, it is quite gooey. And since I live in a very warm climate, it comes out really nice. You can see it coming out. Bam. And that is about 200 milligrams. Yep. That'll do. Put that in the water. As you can see, it does not dissolve readily. So we're going to have to sit down and be patient. When I first started using Shilajit, I would stress over getting it to melt and sit there and stand over it and stir. No. Now I just let it sit and it will dissolve on its own. Not a problem.
The Broken Food Chain and Importance of Shilajit
(6:08) Why take Shilajit? The reason I take Shilajit is because our food chain is broken. The way nature meant it to be, which you're supposed to poop, you should poop to fertilize plants. And the plants use those nutrients to help them grow. You eat the plants and there's a cycle. You poop. It feeds the plants. The plants grow. They feed you. And that's the way it is. Well, that's not the way it is anymore. Now people eat. They poop. The poop is flushed someplace—rivers, oceans, who knows? It's flushed. But it's not used for fertilizing. Because of that, the minerals that our body uses are not replaced. There's not a way of replacing them because the fertilization process for the plants is incomplete. It doesn't contain all the minerals that were lost from your body. And so over time, what happens then is the human becomes mineral deficient. And so what Shilajit does is it restores that. So these are mineral deposits, millions of years old, and it's a broad spectrum of minerals. So just taking this daily will replenish your trace minerals.
The Value of Trace Minerals and Introduction to the Topic
(7:19) Who cares about trace minerals? Well, trace minerals are the cofactors needed to activate the enzymes and proteins your body manufactures. So there you have it, Shilajit. Where do you get it? I'd be for eBay at the moment.
(7:42) All right, so that brings us to today's topic: "What I Learned from $15 Bedsheets." Bed sheets, by the way.
A Childhood Lesson on Bedsheets
(7:49) So when I was a kid, occasionally my mother would go and give us a lecture—I mean a lecture—about a topic that she felt was pretty important that we ought to get it right. And one time we got a lecture, us girls, for the boys, it didn't matter, but us girls, about bed sheets and selecting and buying bed sheets. This is a very important matter. You don't want to be using cheap bed sheets. And how do you know? Well, first of all, the price. You just have to pay more, because if you don't, those flimsy sheets are going to wear out and they'll be useless. So you might as well just go ahead and pay more and get a better product. And the thread count—the thread count, yes, the higher the thread count, the better. And generally, around 400 is adequate. And, of course, the material. It has to be cotton, 100% cotton, and that way it's great for absorbency and for this and that and the other thing. And cotton, it has to be cotton. And so, of course, I remembered this lecture. It sounded good.
The Struggle with Bed Sheets in a Tropical Climate
(8:55) Now, mind you, I grew up in the cold north, where there was snow, lots of snow, and I now live in the tropics. And so, for the past 13 years, I have been struggling with bed sheets that were just, eh, you know, they're sticky, they're heavy, they're too hot, they're just nothing's right. And so I've tried everything. I've tried bamboo sheets, I've tried flannel sheets, I've tried 100% cotton sheets, I've tried Egyptian cotton, I've tried hotel sheets, I've even tried ordering sheets online. All of them are just, eh. So, as luck would have it, it's been 13 years now of trying out one set after another and just having to give them away or toss them or something.
Discovering the $15 Bedsheets
(9:45) And so, my latest set of sheets, I just decided, after tossing and turning and kind of being a little sticky and hot, you know what, I'm going to buy another set of sheets. I'm going to buy another set of sheets. So, of course, I went to the store, what you might call a department store, and I went and looked for sheets. And, of course, I remember what mom told me, so I said, okay, thread count, 400 or more, 100% cotton, no dollar limit, and, of course, my bed happens to be queen size, so queen size.
(10:34) Well, I walked up and down the sheet aisle. Now, where I live, they're not too keen on putting everything together, so all sheets of the same size are not together, all sheets of the same type are not together, so there's a bit of a disorder. So, I found that some boxes were 100% cotton, but not queen size. Queen size, but not cotton. High thread count, but not queen. You get the idea. After 30 minutes of walking up and down, up and down the aisle, I realized that I had invested considerable time, or more or less 30 minutes, trying to sort this out, and I had not found a suitable set of sheets that met these four simple criteria. And at this point, it was going to be a personal ego matter that I was not going to go home empty-handed, and I'd walked considerable distance in the 100-degree heat to get to the store. So, I was going to buy a set of sheets.
The Unexpected Appeal of Cheap Sheets
(11:45) Well, just then, I saw some bright yellow sheets that caught my eye. I thought, huh, I'm not going home empty-handed. Those things look pretty neat. Maybe I'll get them. And I walked over to there, and sure enough, they are $15, which is, for sheets, pretty cheap. Usual price is $24 to $50. So, they're $15, which means they did not fit the dollar criteria. They were 150 thread, way below the 400 thread count, and they were polyester. Yes, these sheets were clearly unsatisfactory. And, of course, they were queen size.
(12:30) So, I was thinking, I calculated, I had a 15-minute walk home in the 100-degree heat, and I was getting a little panicky. And so, I decided, I said, well, wait a minute. At first, I thought, I can't buy these. I can't buy these. The thread count is wrong. The price is wrong. The material is wrong. I said, but wait, they're queen size, and it's a bright color. And about this time, I had gotten totally sick of earth tones. I mean, like beige, gray, that grayish pink color. Thanks. Something brighter. So, I said, well, wait a minute. What if this doesn't work? What if I get these sheets home? And what if mom's right? And what if they're just atrocious? Oh, my mom also said, 100% cotton or it's going to pill. These pills are going to get pills all over your sheet. You don't want that. I said, okay.
Rationalizing the Purchase and Discovering Unexpected Benefits
(13:09) So, I needed a plan. What if it doesn't work? I said, okay, fine. It's only $15. Things here, they say it could be returned, but not really. So, I said, okay, $15, I'll be out 15 bucks. All right, I can handle that. Next problem. Well, I want to just throw them away. So, maybe I could give them away to, like, the parents of my adopted grandkids. Well, but wait, what if they don't want them? I mean, mom also said you should never, never use sheets. We'll skip the whole hotel scene, but just say it. I said, I know, I can give it to workers and they can use the sheets as a drop cloth. So, now I had a backup plan. I was armed and ready with my backup plan. You're probably wondering, what does this got to do with health? Stick with me. Stick with me on this.
(14:22) So, I had a guilt-free backup plan, and I confidently approached the cash register, paid for these sheets, and walked home in the blistering 100-degree heat. Now, I was fully prepared for a pretty negative experience, but what did I find out about these $15 sheets? Number one, it was easier and quicker to make my bed because 150-count sheets were quite a bit lighter than the 400-count sheets. And so, I was able to whip those sheets and shake out all the dust and everything and put them right back on the bed in less than half the time. I said, huh, easy.
The Unexpected Benefits of the $15 Sheets
(15:12) Then it was easier to adjust the sheets. So, if I wanted to pull them this way or that way, there was less friction. And so, and also when I jump up in the morning and get out of bed, no heavy lifting. It was easy to just throw them off. And because the thread count was so low and the sheets were so porous, they breathed and the air circulated and I didn't have the stickiness and I didn't have the overheating. And of course, their brilliant colors were great because, well, I like brilliant colors. And guess what? I've washed them at least twice, and there's been no pilling, no pills for them. I guess it must be some kind of technological advance with polyester, but hey, thankful for it. So, no sticky feeling, and they're comfortable.
Lessons Learned from the $15 Sheets
(15:44) And I said, oh my God, it's amazing. So, what did I learn from these $15 sheets? Well, first of all, I learned price does not equal value. That's for darn sure. Those of you who consider yourselves to be poor will be happy to know that price does not equal value, and check for value first. Next, an open mind may be the most valuable tool in your arsenal of coping and problem-solving—an open mind. Next is your most trusted source, in my case, mom, may not be accurate all the time. That's right. And next, which is price not equal value, the best solution may actually be the cheapest. And hearsay, advice of others, is of limited value. Mom meant well, and, you know, there we go.
(16:46) And when things are not working out, list what you're doing, everything you're doing, and consider just doing the opposite. And finally, different conditions, cold north versus the tropics, might require different approaches. So, these are some lessons I learned from buying this $15 set of sheets.
Relevance to Health and Turpentine Use
(17:22) What's this got to do with your health? Well, as many of you know, at the beginning of the show, I took turpentine. And certainly, the decision to take turpentine, all of these things are involved. And I think with your health, while you may not decide to take turpentine, you may want to consider that with your health and your healthcare, price does not equal value. Absolutely not. Turns out that turpentine is pretty darn cheap, 15 bucks a year supply. I found I was able to easily replace health insurance. For me, anyway, everybody's different. So me, off the bat, when I started using it in the 90s, my health insurance back then was only $300 a month. This $15 purchase replaced $3,600 in health insurance premiums. That's back then. Now I'm sure the number is much higher, but you get the point. Exponential savings.
Hearsay and Trusted Sources
(18:22) Yeah. And hearsays of limited value. I had heard from many sources that turpentine was dangerous and it was deadly. Terrible. And yeah, the hearsay was of limited value. Even the public health announcements, public service announcements, medical school curriculum, credible sources, trusted sources, not at this point. They just weren't accurate at that time, in this particular subject.
The Importance of Questioning Established Norms
(18:47) And when things are not working out, list what you're doing and do the opposite. And for me, what this meant is I listed everything that they taught me in medical school was deadly and dangerous and started taking a look at it. I was like, maybe I should try a few of those things. And yeah, here we go. It worked out great. Now, not everyone is up for that. So again, use your judgment.
Closing Thoughts on Turpentine and Open-Mindedness
(19:10) And the best solution may be the cheapest. And certainly, when you apply this concept of turpentine, turpentine is a heck of a lot cheaper than other health options. And again, as I mentioned, the most trusted source may not be trustworthy. And an open mind may be the most valuable tool for your health, an open mind. And of course, keep trying, keep questioning. It took me 13 years to find a decent set of sheets. And the only way I found it was by just doing the opposite of everything my trusted sources had said to do. Because of course, things weren't really working. But I can tell you, I am so absolutely happy and thrilled, not only with my sheets, but with turpentine. I take it myself.
Q&A Session
(20:06) All right, that brings us to questions. And by golly, we've got a lot of them. So let's see what we got.
(20:26) This person says, Dr. Daniels, you have saved my life. I have had so many ailments post-breast cancer and many issues that came with this. I've slowly been getting better. I'm taking turpentine and vitality capsules and following the candida diet. Change of diet, that is not easy, while having a 10-year-old. I am 61 years old this year. Thank you so much. Some of my family and friends are taking your vitality capsules, and they love them. I hope to continue to give them all the hope to stay away from the hospitals. So hard to have them trust another way of doing things. Thank you so much for all that you do. You are a godsend.
(21:01) Well, you're welcome. I would simply encourage your family members, you should encourage them, to follow what they're experiencing. So if they're experiencing improvement and great benefit doing something, they should keep going in that direction. That's the way I would put it to them. Because as you can see in today's show example, I was following these directions I'd been given for picking out sheets for 13 years and not really succeeding. Finally, when I said, you know what, let me look at these instructions, do the opposite, and bam. So a lot of people might not be willing to do that on a big scale in a big way, but I think if you can encourage them bit by bit and remind them of how good they feel, that's the important thing.
(22:09) So William says, hi, Dr. Daniels. I'm writing you because I wanted to know how to use the turpentine for healing the veins in my legs. So go to vitalitycapsules.com, download the Candida Cleaning Report actually, and follow it. The drinking water part, the diet, and the bowel movements are very, very important. Because what you're seeing in your veins basically is gunk that should be in the toilet. And it's clogging up the valves in your veins. So you need to really just methodically step by step by step do that.
(22:57) Dr. Daniels, how do you reverse high blood pressure back to normal? I've been doing turpentine and sugar for four weeks, and it's not improving much. So there's a couple of things you might be doing wrong. The first thing is, are you taking drugs? If you are taking drugs, then in order to lower your blood pressure, you've got to adjust your drugs so that your top number is 150, more or less. And then that will allow your body to adjust and lower the blood pressure.
(23:28) Let's say you're not taking drugs. The next thing you do is go to vitalitycapsules.com, download the Candida Cleaning Report, and make sure that you're drinking the anti-inflammatory amount and type of water recommended. Hypertension is primarily a disease of dehydration. So you don't have enough water slash blood in your blood vessels to circulate to really two organs, brain and kidney. And so you've got to get the hydration right. And then you've got to get the bowel movements right. You can either, for more clarification, I have a recording on my website, vitalitycapsules.com, called the Heart Disease Hulks, and it explains the whole high blood pressure thing to you. And also, appointments are available in limited amounts.
(24:25) Okay, so this person, Darlene, says, I spoke to you briefly about two years ago when I called into your radio show. At the time, you asked me if I'd ever been vaccinated in the 60s. You went on to say back then that they injected people with syphilis and, in fact, had me to understand that is probably why over the years, I've been getting more and more syphilis and, in fact, my health has been an issue. So my question to you is with everything that's going on now in the world with this pandemic and them, whoever they are, trying to force people to get it, how do you avoid it? Well, first of all, there are not enough vaccines to go around if you've been following the news internationally and nationally. So just make sure you stand at the back of the line and you'll be just fine.
(25:20) I by no means have plans in taking it. I've researched and understand the crap and longtime damage of doing so. Can someone later detox of some type to clean themselves? Probably not. But I'll put it to you this way. Someone who doesn't have the fortitude to refuse a vaccine probably has not got the fortitude to go through the very difficult cleansing needed to reverse it once injected. People are reporting to me, though, that when they douse the injection site with turpentine, that they're getting very good results and not getting reactions. So that is something to consider. But again, someone who would consider getting vaccinated might not be open to that.
(26:18) This person says, Dr. Daniels, I bet I am not the only one who has this question. I am wanting to get more collagen into my body. That's nice. I put pig feet in the slow cooker. Very good. What part do I eat? Everything. Everything except the bone. In other words, you eat the skin, you eat the tissue under the skin, you eat the cartilage and rubbery stuff that's attached to the bone. You can just chew that right off. Everything. And what I do when I eat it is I take each bone and put it in my mouth and I suck it, chew out all the collagen, and then put that one aside and do the next one and so on until I've got the whole pig foot done. That can be pretty laborious. And for that reason, I cook mine an extended period of time to get everything off the bones or to make it easier to come off the bones. Same question with ham hocks and same answer.
(27:19) And if I'm successful finding them, how about pig ears? Oh, pig ears are great. So pig ears, it depends on how fussy you are. Some people are very fussy. They don't like the gamey taste of the pig ears and they don't like all the hair that can be on the pig ears. I get that. Not a problem. So you get out your disposable razor that you get from the local drugstore and shave your pig ear before you cook it, number one. Number two, you bring it to a boil and simmer it for about five minutes. Throw that water away because it tastes bad. And then at that point, you may want to scrub your pig ears, rinse them off, and then put them in a pot with fresh distilled water and cook them at that point. Now, they need to be pressure cooked for about two hours or you can slow cook them for sure overnight, maybe more. And then pig ears, you eat the whole thing, everything, the skin, the cartilage, the whole thing, the ear canal, everything, the whole ball of wax. Yeah.
(28:33) I sure do like your suggestions. You have all the information. Thank you. Thank you for being there to help and guide us on our health journey. You're welcome.
(28:56) Dr. Daniels, is it better to take the turpentine before breakfast on an empty stomach or anytime is just as good? Actually, anytime is just as good.
(29:10) I am a 56-year-old woman. I have been having gallbladder attacks, and the doctor said I should get my gallbladder removed. I would like to try and heal it without removal. Is there a way I can do this without surgery? It's pretty dicey. So if you're having gallbladder attacks, you need to take a look at what you've changed in what you're eating and really examine what you're doing. This may sound dumb, but go back to eating what you were eating before your first gallbladder attack. Okay. So now you know what to eat. Then you can use vitality capsules, and that increases your bile flow so that your stones will be dissolved by your own bile. Your bile will just flow over the stones and dissolve.
Closing Remarks
(30:05) All righty. We are at our 30-minute mark, and that is the end of today's show. So I'd like to remind everyone to visit vitalitycapsules.com, and as always, think happens.
