Introduction and Mom Update

Hi, this is Dr. Daniels, and you're listening to the Sunday, January 9th, 2022 edition of Healing with Dr. Daniels. Today's topic is Yay, New Year's Resolutions! My New Year's Resolutions. I'm taking a different and, I think, more fun approach to New Year's resolutions, and I'm going to share my method with you today. But first, an update on mom. Mom is doing great. She's continuing to increase her walking abilities, and we are all cheering for her. Things are really moving along—she is determined.

My Progress and Turpentine

Next is My Progress—yay! So, I asked Santa, and Santa was very generous and gave me a gym floor for my exercise room. This means that I can now do more expansive exercises without going off my mat because the whole floor is the mat. This is very nice because it allows me to do more exercises more easily. I'm looking forward to releasing videos explaining this principle and also explaining many ways that people, especially my age (I'm 64), can exercise in a convenient, safe, and fun way. So, look forward to that.
And next, we're going to take, yay, turpentine. Now, to take turpentine, you need a spoon. This is a U.S. teaspoon, for those of you who are around the world. This is 5 grams or 5 cc. Okay, then you need some sugar. This is white sugar—yes, poison in any other circumstance, but in this circumstance, quite therapeutic. It is the distribution medium for the turpentine. It allows the turpentine dose to be distributed on a more gradual basis. So, if you were to drink turpentine, the actual okay dose would be a lot smaller—like six drops. But because you have the sugar, you can take a much larger dose. In this case, the dose I take is half a teaspoon. So, we have our dropper. I think this is the one—yeah. This is a disposable pipette, but I must have used it at least 50 times. It works. This is turpentine—label your bottles. As you can see, it does not have to be perfect, but close enough so one can see this bottle and realize this is not a beverage. That's important.
Oh, this is a 3 cc pipette. Right up to here, where the bulb gets fat, is 2.5 cc, which is my dose. That's what I take. All right, so squeeze the air out of the bulb, dip it in the turpentine, and release the bulb. That didn't work out well—it must be my other pipette that works. Let's try the other pipette. Squeeze the bulb, put it under the line, and suck it up. Yes, perfect. Now, I want you to notice that it's a little bit higher, so I'm going to express out the part that I don't need. All right, this is natural healing, not medicine. In medicine, the more the merrier. In natural healing, you just want to do what's right for you—a different approach. All right, so we have the sugar, and we're going to squeeze the turpentine on top. The way you want this to go is you want most of the sugar to be saturated, but some sugar not. You can see that right there, the sugar with the turpentine is getting a little bit darker, and that's normal. Not the best tasting stuff, but I have tasted worse. Now, what do you do with that little bit of turpentine that is left on your lips? Wipe it off. I do not lick my lips after taking turpentine.
Shilajit and My Progress Continued

Next, Shilajit. This is a very used bottle—it’s fairly inexpensive, but it’s enough Shilajit for literally a year and a half. It’s gooey, and sometimes the top sticks, as in this case. So, I’m going to take my superhuman strength here... There we go. So, here we have Shilajit. As you can see, I’ve worked my way pretty close to the bottom of this jar. It’s been almost a year. I use a chopstick, but you can use anything that pokes. You can see it is pretty gooey. The amount you want is 200 milligrams. That’s looking pretty close to 200 milligrams, so I’m going to stick with that. You put it in the water, and as you can see, it does not dissolve easily. Rather than upset ourselves, we’re going to put that aside, and I’ll drink that later. I’m not going to put the top back on—why? Because it was so sticky that I realized I need to clean out the threads here of that black stuff so it won’t stick again. I’ll do that after the show.
New Year's Resolutions

All right, this brings us... oh, wait, my progress. I’ve got to share this with you because I’m having so much fun with this. So, there’s this plant—a hibiscus plant—and it has a fruit. This is the fruit of the hibiscus plant. I have busied myself with picking these. Now, I just want to tell you, these things cost about a dollar a pound in the store, at least. On my walk, I encountered a hibiscus tree, and I asked my neighbor if I could pick some. He said yes, so I did. Now, this is not my first haul—I got these this morning when I went picking—but I’ve made hibiscus jelly. This is actually jam. I’ll turn this upside down for you so you can see how thick this is. Very thick and stiff. Any grandchild would be happy to put it on his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Now, another batch I made—you can see this is very thin. Why is that? Because I tried to thicken this with a thickener, in this case, cornstarch, but I learned it’s much better to thicken the hibiscus with hibiscus by just simmering it down and making it thicker. Both are very tasty, and I take these little jars and give them away. This big jar is my one-year supply of hibiscus jam. It says jelly, but it’s jam. You can see it’s got little particles in there. I gave the owner of the hibiscus tree a little jar of jam. He was so happy that when I showed up today to pick hibiscus, he actually dropped what he was doing and started picking right along with me, giving me the hibiscus. It was really nice. It was fun, and I made a friend. Of course, earlier on one of my prior walks, I asked his permission to pick from his tree. He said yes, and so there began my picking and jam making. Little things like this you can do just to have fun and entertain yourself.
So, back to our New Year's resolutions. I have a new method for making New Year's resolutions, and I’m going to share this with you. Hopefully, you'll be inspired, and hopefully, it will give you a better 2022—more health, more happiness, prosperity, whatever it is. So, the first thing I did in finding my resolutions was to take a look at what gave me good results in 2021. What was it in 2021 that I was very happy with? Now, depending on your situation, maybe you can’t find much, but the point is to find what worked out pretty darn good. Then, I looked at how much time I have in a day. Figure out what time you get up and go to bed. Do the math and subtract out two hours—give yourself a margin of error. Then, figure out what time you have in your day for things you don’t have control over—like work or commuting—and subtract that stuff out. At the end, you’re going to have some hours. Put that number aside.
So, I took a look at what worked out in 2021. What was I really happy with in 2021? I was pretty happy with my splits—yep, I’m doing the left front, the right front, and the center ones are coming right along. The splits worked out pretty well, so I’m happy with those. Next, I was happy with learning more Spanish—I learned so much Spanish. A friend of mine, who’s an American-born English speaker but has become fluent in Spanish, sent me an email with about 20% of the words in Spanish. Without that 20%, you really can’t understand it. I wrote her back and said, “Thank you for the email in Spanglish.” Spanglish is a slang term for someone who can’t speak Spanish or English very well, and it combines the two. She wrote me back and said, “Oh my god, you must be almost fluent!” That gave me encouragement to work even harder on my Spanish. Also, I made some friends in 2021, and I want to make more friends. That’s good. Next, I’ve done very well keeping my house clean in 2021. I’m going to do more of that in 2022, make that really work out. In 2021, I had some fun, so I want to have more fun in 2022. That’s it.
Do the same thing for your year—make a list and look back at what worked out in 2021. The next thing you do is figure out what to do to keep it going. I said, “Well, these things were lots of fun in 2021, so to make 2022 even better, I’ll just do more of these things.” Yes, and so I decide every day, this is what I’m going to do. I’m going to do splits every day instead of just three times a week. I’m going to walk every day—I do that anyway, but I really enjoy it, so I’ll keep doing that. Talk to more people in person—that means sitting in the same room with them. That’s really fun, and this is also easier with walking because I stop and talk to my neighbors. Also, clean one part of the house daily—I’m not going to skip a day where I don’t clean anything. Also, I’m going to do something fun—every day, something fun. It could be one minute, ten minutes, three hours, whatever, but I’m going to do something fun every day. I’m also going to tell three people something I like about them. For example, you, the audience—I like that you’re listening. I like reading the questions you send in—they’re really interesting and inspire me.
So, from the time I get up to the time I go to bed, for me, it’s about 14 hours. Subtract two hours for a margin of error, and I have 12 hours left for sure. Your calculations may be different—like I said, maybe you have other things going on that you can’t really adjust or change. So, I decided with this time that I would have three hours of physical activity—that’s my splits and walking. One to three hours of cleaning. One to three hours of fun. One hour to learn more Spanish. One hour to dream—that means imagining more great things and fun things I can do. One hour to bathe, brush teeth, self-grooming. And two hours to do whatever I might have left out, or I could add something else. The allotted time is not important—what is important is to give time to the categories that will make a happier 2022 for you. Notice that I allow time for fun. If you’re pressed for time, you may allow only 15 minutes in this category, but here’s the point—you do not want to go a day without having some fun. Life may be short, but it is way too long when you skip the fun part—it's called burnout.
So, try it. Notice that I do not have a list of negative stuff or regrets that I’m trying to fix. Notice that I’m doing more of what I’m already doing. This means that I can surely succeed—the chances of failure are zero. Look at your day, and if there are many days where you don’t have fun, change that. Fix it—have fun every day. So, my latest fun thing is when I showed you the hibiscus. That is a hoot. I’ve started giving out these little jars of hibiscus jam—people love them. Oh my god, it is so much fun, and everyone is very excited to receive them. I ask them, “How’d the jam go?” One person tells me, “Oh, I’m eating it just a little bit by a little bit and putting it on my bread, making it last.” Another person says, “I ate every bit of it—do you have another jar?” So, all kinds of different responses, but it’s a lot of fun. So, have fun every day—have fun. Again, review your 2021. Whatever you enjoyed, just arrange to have more of it and do more of it, and I think that will give you a phenomenal 2022. So, go for it!

This brings us to questions—yay! I clicked it, and here they are. Oh, how awesome. Hi, Dr. Daniels. I want to know if a teaspoon of turpentine taken with sugar is safe to take while breastfeeding. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, but many women have done it with great success. Now, the other thing you want to do if you’re going to take this and breastfeed is to put a drop of turpentine under the sole of each one of your kid's feet. So, you have this little baby—take a drop of turpentine and rub it on the sole of his foot, then a drop on the other sole. That’s it—that’s the whole dose. What this will do is protect your kid from the parasites that may enter his body through your breast milk because they don’t like your body since you’ve got turpentine.
Next question: I would really like to start taking ivermectin, but I don’t know where I can buy it without a prescription from a doctor. I live in Australia, and I feel I could really benefit from taking it. Can you let me know how to go about getting it? Okay, first of all, you need to understand that the country where you live is the country where you live, and they have rules. The rules can change from time to time, so keep checking on them. You never know—they might change it and make ivermectin the flavor of the day. But until then, ivermectin is generally available in pet stores as a pet dewormer. It's also available in veterinary stores, and you might be able to find it in veterinary/pet stores either online, where they can ship to Australia, or just right there in stores. So, go to farm stores—stores that sell supplies for farmers who have cattle or livestock. Give that a go. She says, “Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. You’re an amazing giver, and all your efforts inspire others to be their best.” Yes, I hope people are finding inspiration here and really finding ways to do better and be better.
Next question: Okay, I’m 64 years old, just like you. What should I do to get the beautiful skin on my neck like yours? I’ve been using lemon to clean my face. Good stuff! As I saw you once use a slice of lemon on your face, what else might I do? Well, you could eat pig ears and pig feet, and you can also, which is super simple, apply olive oil to your skin. You would be amazed how instantaneously wrinkles and sags just disappear—it’s amazing. So, olive oil, and obviously, don’t skimp on it.
Next question: Dr. Daniels, I have something called burning mouth syndrome. Do you have any suggestions to relieve the constant irritation? Yes. Burning mouth syndrome is caused by not enough connective tissue. So, literally, the nerves in your mouth are exposed, and you have this burning sensation because those nerves are not covered by connective tissue as they would ordinarily be—not protected. So, there’s a lot of connective tissue out there, but the connective tissue that would be most helpful to you would be something called pig face. I don’t know what it’s called in different countries, but in Central America and the Philippines, it’s called pig face. What is that? It’s the pig snout plus the cheek and side of the face. So, that’s going to give you the biggest dose of the specialized tissue that you are missing. I would recommend doing that. Now, what do you do once you buy this pig face? How do you cook it? The simplest way, honestly, is to put it in a pot, bring it to a boil, throw out the water, and scrub the thing under the faucet. Then, you can cut it into small chunks, season it, and either boil it until it’s done or pressure cook it until it’s done. Then, you can eat it with vegetables and rice—it’s actually pretty tasty. How much should you eat? I would say about four ounces, three to five times a week. Do not skimp on your vegetables—eat your vegetables with it. You should notice improvement in a few days—not resolution, but improvement.
Next question: Hi, Dr. Daniels. We are considering moving out of Europe because of the craziness that is growing here. I may remember wrong, but do you live in Paraguay? We’ve been considering Paraguay. If you live there, is it a good place to move to? Or if you live in another good country, I would love to hear about it. God bless you. Okay, so there’s a misunderstanding, I think, about what’s going on in the world. Let me summarize my understanding of it, which might help you lower your stress. What’s going on in the world is that different governments are increasing the amount of control they have over the lives of their citizens. What does this mean? This means that people who are in their country but not their citizens—they really don’t care about. So, if you’re in a country and you’re a non-citizen, they just ignore you. A lot of the rules, they just don’t bother to apply to you—they’re not going to track you down to see if you’ve done this or that. So, what does that mean? That means really any country you pick, as long as it’s not the country of your passport or birth, it’s probably going to work out a lot better than where you are. So, that’s the simplest answer. A more complex answer, based on my experience, is that Mexico is a very good place.
Next question: Dr. Daniels, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. I am 68 years old and was recently diagnosed with Meniere’s disease. For those of you who don’t know, Meniere’s disease is inflammation of the eighth nerve—that’s a nerve in the brain. The nerves in the brain are numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and actually, 8. Oh, 9, 10, 11, 12. Okay, so this is the eighth nerve we’re talking about. Fluid is not draining from my inner ear—sorry, Dr. Chelsea—causing hearing loss and feelings of fullness and pressure. Should be dizziness. Ah, here we are. I’ve been experiencing bouts of vertigo—that would be dizziness—and my balance is off. Uh-huh. I was basically told nothing can be done. Exactly, that’s what we’re taught in medical school. As a matter of diagnosis, nothing can be done. Just take a drug—any drug—the rest of your life. So, let's see what he got. I was basically told... okay, I exercise, eat a healthy diet, weigh 128 pounds. Without a height, the weight is really irrelevant. A healthy diet—what’s healthy for one person is deadly for another. So, we don’t really have any information here, except this person feels pretty confident about what they’re doing, and they’re not on any medicines or taking injections. Okay. Can you shed any light on what causes Meniere’s disease? Yes, your healthy diet causes Meniere’s disease. Let me shed some light on your healthy diet. Okay, so you’ve got a disease of a nerve. The simplest thing to eat would be brain—yep, brain. Cow brain or pig brain works. Another shortcut, if you don’t have access to brain, is cholesterol—lots of it. The next highest food in cholesterol content would be liver. So, I would suggest you eat four to eight ounces of liver a day. I’m not sure what kind of exercise you’re doing, but a simple toe touch would do it—that would be bending over, touching your toes, and then reaching for the sky. As you reach for the sky, look back. Okay, what this does is it moves the fluid around your brain, bathes the nerves with cerebrospinal fluid, with nutrition, and helps you heal quicker. So, that’s the exercise you need to do. All the other exercises you’re doing, might I suggest, are a waste of time. As for your healthy diet, if it does not include liver and brain, then up your game. Your weight—I can’t comment on because I don’t know your height. This fluid in your ear—that’s actually quite irrelevant. But, since you do have it, there might be some dairy going on. So, if you are eating dairy, then stop the dairy—that would be cheese, yogurt, any kind of dairy.
Final question: I’m wondering if you have any solutions for lipidemia. Lipidemia is fat in the blood, just for you listeners so you can know. Not sure if this is my condition—red flag—so something is defined by a level of something in the blood, which can only be determined by a blood test. We can deduce this person hasn’t had a blood test, so probably this is not what they have. However, I have large amounts of fat on my hips, legs, and butt. Now, we’re getting to the problem here. It is disproportionate compared to my chest and waist. I’m seeking natural ways to get rid of it. Is there any way an obese body can become fit without extra skin and fat deposits? Absolutely. First of all, switch your fat to a vegetable form of fat—like flax seeds. That will dissolve the fat that you have without giving you saggy skin. My husband, with my help, lost 100 pounds and did not have any saggy skin. Why? I gave him flaxseed as he was losing weight. That’s one thing. But more precisely, what you really want to know is how you can get the fat to stop accumulating on your hips and legs. Eating organ meats—that would be liver, heart, lung, kidney, chicken gizzards, chicken liver—eating the organ meats will cause your body to firm up and get lean. Next, the Chinese say—traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurvedics—they both agree that when you have heaviness and fat in your lower body, that would be your legs and butt, there’s a blockage of energy traveling. The energy is not equally traveling up and down your body, and this is caused by a lot of sitting. The simple way to fix this is to get rid of all the chairs in your house, so either you’re standing or laying down. Then, do more walking. That’s it. Also, eat more vegetables. That’s the whole deal.
