Turpentine Routine and Personal Update
(3:16 - 7:08)
Personal Update
(3:16) That brings us to, well, you could take turpentine. But I can update my progress. This past week was a little bit slow. I took the week off. I did a little bit of stretching each day, but honestly, no big progress in terms of the exercise department. However, I have found more exercises I can do that I think will more quickly get me to my goals. But every now and then you do need to take a little bit of time off. So, I took off this past week.
Taking Turpentine
(3:59) All right. What do we got here? Well, we've got turpentine. Now, whenever you are getting into healing yourself, doing stuff on your own, you have got to label. Now, this is not a perfect label. But as you can see, it is a sufficient label so people will not think that this is some fancy beverage, right? Okay. So, label your stuff. This is a pipette. It is sold, I believe, as a 3cc pipette. But up to here, the neck right here, is 2.5cc. And that is my dose. Now, I take that. I used to take it daily. But I cut it back to twice a week. Oh, my God, Dr. Daniels, why did you cut it back to twice a week? I cut it back to twice a week because I started taking ivermectin. Oh, my God. Ivermectin. Fantastic. Fantastic. So, what I found is taking ivermectin, I felt even better than taking turpentine. Then I said, well, let me just check. So, I took turpentine, and I felt better than I did with ivermectin alone. So, literally, the ivermectin boosted the effect of the turpentine. Like, holy cow. So, you know I'm excited. So, here is our sugar. This is white cane sugar. And this is our turpentine. We're going to squirt that right on there. There we go. That's it. That's all. We got it. And we have our glass of water. Yay. Down the hatch.
Preparation Tips
(5:54) Just that simple. As you can see, you need to prepare, be prepared, have your turpentine out, your sugar ready, your water, your spoon, your pipette. But once you get it set up, you're good to go. And I recommend actually just leaving it set up. That way, the barrier to taking it is much lower and it's easy.
Shilajit and Health Benefits
(7:08 - 8:07)
Introduction to Shilajit
(7:08) What else we got? Shilajit. Mmm. Shilajit is a trace mineral substance. They just pull it right out the ground. You can see that I'm in the tropics where it's very warm. So, this is pretty soft. Those of you up north where it's a little colder, this might be as hard as plastic. A little more challenging to get out. So, I'm using a wooden spoon. So, up north, you might use maybe a metal instrument to do this. All right. So, the dose is 200 milligrams. As you can see, that's pretty darn close to 200 milligrams, which is about a quarter of a quarter teaspoon. And we take this, even in the tropics, it does not readily dissolve, as you can see. So, we're going to let that sit over there, dissolve, and drink that later. Probably after the show, because the show is only going to be 30 minutes long.
Health Benefits of Shilajit
(7:59) Why would anyone take Shilajit? Well, of course, Shilajit is known as the destroyer of weakness. That's one good reason to take it. But the reason to take it, in terms of your health, is your body makes proteins, and the proteins require cofactors to be activated. So, without these cofactors, which are trace minerals, your body's enzymes literally operate at about 50 percent, whatever, and then you put in the trace minerals, and all of a sudden, when you say jump, your body says, how high? And everything starts working, you start making connections, and you can walk better, you can talk better, and everything works much more accurately. So, if you feel like things could be just a little better, or you're kind of in the near-miss mode, Shilajit is for you.
Main Topic: It's Not Your Integrity, It's Your Incentives
(8:07 - 19:22)
Introduction to the Topic
(8:07) Okay, we've covered all that. Now, today's topic, which is, It Is Not Your Integrity, It's Your Incentives. As you might imagine, I thought about this a lot. Actually, for years. When I do the things that I do, or did the things I did, you can read the story in many places on the internet, or listen to audios at vitalitycycles.com from 2012 to 2016 for the breathtaking details. People would say, "Oh, Dr. Daniels, how could you do that? How could you have such courage? Oh my god, and such integrity?" Of course, the way I saw it was, well, what else could I do? Pretty straightforward.
Examples and Explanation of Incentives
(8:56) I'll give you just a few examples here. So, why did I decide to stop using any medication in my medical practice that was not effective, or had caused harm to any patient? Why would I do that? Why would I say, you know what, that medication caused an unacceptable side effect. I am not going to use that medicine anymore. Done. Why could I tell my patients, hey, this is the standard of care, but honestly, I've never seen it help anyone? When other doctors, who saw the same thing I saw, couldn't do that, didn't do that. Now, why did I decide to befriend the savage dogs instead of killing them, or moving, or even worse, like other expats might do, organizing a dog control service, and doing a fundraiser to fund it? Why did I just befriend the savage dogs? And by the way, they are still savage. You know, they're quite savage. These dogs are not, they're not nice dogs. And why, when I fell off the mountain in the Philippines, did I refuse medical intervention of any kind? Do I have more courage than the average bear? Maybe, but I don't think so.
The Role of Incentives
(10:26) I thought about this. Now, when I made these decisions, did I, I did not tell myself, I feel it, I feel it, here comes that surge of courage. No, that's not what happened. I did not feel any different. It was just another decision, like, was I going to make my bed now, or in another hour? Am I going to have romaine lettuce, or just eat a sweet red pepper with my raw vegetable for the day? So, a simple decision, like opening the fridge and deciding what to eat, not a big deal. So, how can such apparently monumental decisions appear so small, so easy, so trivial? Answer, incentives. My incentives were different. And in your life, you can actually control the incentives. So, I'm going to delve deeper into the examples above to make it easier for you.
Practical Application of Incentives
(11:40) And it's really all about the incentives, and you can, in your life, take control of the incentives. So, let's start with the obvious. If you want to have easy, healthy, satisfying decision-making when you open your fridge, put healthy, easy, tasty stuff in your fridge. Very important. So, I eat whole, unprocessed food, and opening the fridge and seeing stuff that will be ready to eat in 30 minutes was very disappointing, you can imagine. So, I changed that. I now have ready-to-eat fresh fruit, ready-to-eat vegetables that I can just pick up and chomp and eat. I have some cooked egg bites I made myself. I even put some calorie in there. It calls for ham. So, in these egg bites, just for your information, there's vegetables, egg, carbs. They recommend potatoes, but I use rice. And it's a real meal. Just grab, eat, go, done. And of course, I have chilled water. I wasn't getting enough water to drink. I like drinking my water cold. Health nuts will vary. They differ. But I like chilled water. And so, when I don't have chilled water, I don't drink my water. So, I have a special container of chilled water in the fridge. So, now I can quickly get water, some veggies, proteins, some fruit, whatever I feel. And opening the fridge is an easy, pleasant, positive experience. And I put in there all my incentives to eat what I think is the right thing to eat. Now, you can put in your fridge whatever you think is the right thing to eat. And don't put anything in there that you don't feel good about eating. So, I changed the incentives by just changing what was in the fridge. And you can do the same thing.
Questions and Closing Remarks
(22:12 - 31:15)
Addressing Listener Questions
(22:12) And this brings us to questions. We have so many questions, so I'll do the best I can. Okay, so this first question is the example of fuzzy thinking. That's about fuzzy vision, but it's fuzzy thinking. And this is why people just don't get better. So, Dr. Daniels, after one has had cataract surgery. So, they've had cataract surgery. So, I'm pretty sure you have cataract surgery because you're having problems with your vision. All right, what could still help with your eyes? I have used Sovereign Silver Spray to make them feel less tired and edematous. Thank you for answering, and all you do for mankind. So, we don't really have an idea of what's really wrong with these eyes. So, they're tired. So, to get your eyes to feel less tired is very simple. Teaspoon of salt, one cup of water, shake it up, and then pour some in eye cups and literally just bathe your eye with water. And that hydrates your eyes and gets rid of the tired feeling. Edematous, usually your eyelid swelling is a kidney type problem. And so, you've got to work on increasing your water intake and decreasing your intake of other fluids and also your intake of foods that tend to retain water. That would be, believe it or not, your carbs and your meats. So, increase your vegetables, decrease your carbs and meats. Again, what's vague about this question is I don't know if the person is still having visual problems or not. So, I couldn't really answer that.
Conclusion
(30:59) All right, we have passed our 30-minute mark by a minute, and we know how to upload things. We're going here, so this is it. I will see you again next week, and as always, THINK HAPPENS!
