How Your Fashion Choices Heal You

Introduction and Episode Title
(0:00 - 0:10)
Hi, this is Dr. Danielle, and you are listening to Jammin' with Jen. This is the February 6, 2022 edition. Yay! And today's topic is How Fashion Choices Improve Your Health. Yep, that's right.
Show Content and Updates
(0:10 - 1:17)
I'm going to share with you today how a simple fashion choice made me more fit, less stressed, and added two hours of time to my life every day. Woo! I'm excited—you should be too.
All right, we've got to do an update on Mom. I haven't updated her lately. So, I finally got Mom on the phone, and she is one busy bee. Mom, at the age of 90, was sent home comatose over a year ago to die, with, of course, stiff doses of morphine that we were supposed to administer—which we did not. She is now using her walker to get from the bed to the doorway of the dining room every day. Her big ambition is to make it to the kitchen so she can sit while sitting down.
(1:17 - 1:29)
All right, something came up on my screen. It just had to stop like that. Good. All right, so Mom is doing great, and she's really progressing, as they say, aging backwards.
Turpentine Routine
(1:29 - 4:50)
So now we're going to take our turpentine. Why are we going to take our turpentine? We're going to take our turpentine because, as you remember from the last show, I cut my turpentine back to once a week because I was taking ivermectin. Now, ivermectin is still great, but what I noticed happening is my joints, especially the ball joint in my foot, got a little stiff. So, I've upped my turpentine to about three times a week to get rid of that stiffness, which it has—it's gotten rid of the stiffness, and I can now go back to doing my calisthenics, taekwondo, and gymnastics without limitation.
So here we are. I'm going to give you guys a little bit of encouragement. Turpentine—label your bottle. It doesn't have to be perfect; just make an effort so anyone else who might touch the bottle knows this is not a beverage. This is not something to be consumed regularly. A 2.5 cc dropper—that's what I do. I just take the best amount I take. As you can see, it's a little over the neck, which is where 2.5 cc is. We're going to squirt that right out. We do not need any excess—nope. We want everything to be just right. That's what natural healing is all about—just right for you.
All right, here's your sugar. And again, label your container—sugar. I just reorganized my kitchen and hope to show you a video on that. I have so many different white powders in my kitchen, it's actually frightening, so it must all be labeled or bad things happen, like the cake will rise—those of you who don't get the joke, that's baking powder, baking soda.
Here's our water. You've got to chase it with enough water to get it here. I can feel it right here below my ribs in the center—that would be the process for those of you who are anatomically inclined. All right, so that is that. We have taken that.
Let us not forget our Shilajit. This is a very sticky, gooey—thank goodness I'm getting stronger. All right, so we're just going to take this and get out a fair amount. How much is a fair amount? It's 200 milligrams. Those of you with a milligram scale, you can measure it out. But that is more than 200 milligrams—about 50 percent more. So we're just going to scrape that off. This is pretty gooey and tarry, so I'm not interested in touching it. There we go. Back in the container for you. Okie doke. I'm going to put that right in our water. As you can see, it does not readily dissolve—still stuck to the chopstick, so we're going to put this aside. Get to that later.

Main Topic: How Fashion Choices Improve Your Health
(5:44 - 9:01)
All righty, that brings us to today's topic: How Fashion Choices Improve Your Health. A simple fashion choice made me more fit, less stressed, and added two hours of time to my life every day. Yes! So let's just clear the air here. Everybody wants to be healthier. Everybody wants to be more fit, but there is no time, and it is not convenient. So, I get all these issues.
Now, a quick review for those of you looking for herbal cures or workout top tips. No cure will work if your blood is not circulating your herbs to the trouble spot. No workout tip can help you if you never have time for it. So today, we're going to solve both of these problems with the root cause—fashion. Yep, you heard that right—fashion.
So I, like everyone else, had these challenges. I knew I should exercise; I had to get stronger. I had too much time in this chair; my legs were weak. But I had no time, and of course, I was too tired. So I started by, wrongly, deciding I needed exercise clothes and sneakers. Then I realized I had no time—I wasn't using these. So I said, okay, okay, I will exercise first thing in the morning before I even brush my teeth. Yep, out of bed, bounce, get dressed, out the door. Oops, my bad—the clothes I wore to work were not okay for my morning walk. Okay, got five changes of morning walk exercise clothes. Wait, wait, gymnastics classes three times a week—need different clothes than I needed for a walk or for work. Wait, wait, I'd clean the house—need a different set of clothes for that. Uh-oh, need to go shopping, do errands—need different clothes for that. Wait, I got invited to what? Need different clothes for that.
One day, I could and did wear four changes of clothes or more. Well, where's this going? I had to decide between laundry or exercising. I was hanging the clothes in line, admiring my workout collection, my walking collection, and feeling proud of being prepared. Then I realized I was doing three loads of clothes a day to keep up. I was doing sheets, towels, kitchen cloths, and, of course, all these clothes. Then it hit me—I over-complicated my life.
(9:01 - 10:54)
I carefully examined what each clothing needed to do for me, and I have now selected one—one piece of clothing here that you're looking at. Yeah, one piece of clothing that I can walk the dogs that are not mine, clean my house that's not mine—I rent it—practice gymnastics, go shopping, work, show up for social events. This has reduced my laundry from 21 loads a week to three loads a week. I do one load for clothes, one for towels, and one for sheets—yay! And they're pretty small loads, just so you know. This has eliminated, excuse me, folding. This has eliminated folding, washing, putting away clothes, and returned a full two hours a day to my control. Freed up lots of mental space, reduced my stress—no more dreading laundry or piles of folded laundry waiting for the next day. And I have only one wardrobe change a day—that's it, like this I've been wearing all day long. Now, of course, I put it on, rush out, do my walk, rush back, shower—same thing back on—yay! And that's it—good for the day.
Now, most my age will default to a muumuu. I tried this, but you cannot do a forward roll or splits in a muumuu. Besides, be nicer to yourself—give it some thought. Pick something you like and feel good in. I'll tell you what I picked and why.
So that's really the point here. Now, it took a lot of wrong choices, so be patient with yourself. Make a lot of wrong choices before you get on something that works for you. This may not work for you, but this is the process I went through. So this is my final, final thing I decided on. Let me show you. This is why you have a different camera angle today.
(10:54 - 11:25)
All right, so here we are. Now I can lift up, then back, and then forward. And every joint I own can freely move. Now, you may have different criteria—maybe you're starting with different exercises—that's fine. But I'm saying this is what I had to consider.
So it's a short jumper, loose knit fabric, full range of motion in my hips, shoulders, knees, ankles, elbows, wrists, neck, spine for splits, stretches, and gymnastics. The arms are loose and comfortable—no tight leg, arms, or neck areas. And it's one piece—literally, I step into it on my way out of bed. It's presentable for errands, lunch, work, and easy to wash. Busy print that does not show stains. Light enough so a week's worth fits in one load of laundry. No undergarments or sleepwear—too much maintenance.
(11:25 - 12:13)
Part two splices with part one. I'm going to review part of what I said before, so you can just kind of splice it. All right. So this one piece is presentable for errands, lunch, work, easy to wash. Busy print that does not show stains. Light enough so a week's worth fits in one load of laundry. No undergarments or sleepwear—too much maintenance. And this hangs—doesn't fold. I can fit all six of them, a week's worth of clothes, on one hanger in the closet—yes. I, of course, do have an apron to wear as I clean the house.
Conclusion: Simplify Your Wardrobe
(12:13 - 13:12)
So, simplify your wardrobe and get fit. Get healthy. Get your time back. Move out of the laundry and move into exercise, and you will be so happy. The whole improvement in your mental space—I did not realize how much emotional space I was allocating to doing laundry, worrying about laundry, dreading laundry. And this has just been a real game changer—totally simplified my life.
Q&A Segment
(13:12 - 16:10)
All right, brings us to questions. So I want to really, really urge you to, you know, listen to this. Check it out again and see what changes you can make in your wardrobe. Maybe you're only doing three wardrobe changes a day—see how you can get that down to two or one wardrobe change. And maybe you have a whole lot of undergarments you're wearing—maybe there's an undergarment you could do without to clear out that undergarment drawer. I was watching a video on how to keep your house neat, and they were talking about these drawers of undergarments—how to organize this undergarment and that undergarment and the other undergarment. Oh my god. So, try not to put yourself through that.
Here we are—questions. Hi Dr. Daniels, I'm loving your hair. It looks great. Okay, thank you. Oh, you'll notice this little band—yeah. So this is my hair when I go exercise. Why? Sometimes I comb my hair, and the person's eyes are distracted by the band. You see, they don't see the rest—at least that's my mental process. All right, but thank you.
Last week's question was about preventing loose skin when losing weight. The answer was flaxseed. Do you mean fresh ground flax? No. You're making work for yourself. Just get regular whole flaxseed—I prefer brown, but if you want to get yellow, you can. And just soak it overnight and drink it the next morning—super simple. No grinding involved. If you buy it already ground, the nutritional value dissipates. I mean, they try and put it in vacuum packs for you, but yeah. Also, what if it's too late? You lose weight and have lots of hanging skin. Let's just call it too late. I would still do the flaxseed, but in addition to that, I would do something like pig's feet or pig face. And that is going to help tone up your skin. But if you combine it with exercise, then what's going to happen is the underlying material underneath your skin will firm up and become smooth, kind of like this skin is. So you can see that the material under the skin is nice and smooth. And so that's what's going to happen as you exercise—the cellulite is going to go away, then you're going to tone up what's under the skin. And then your body, with you eating this very strong collagen, is going to fix the actual skin to fit over the underlying material.
(16:10 - 17:26)
What can I do? I cannot afford surgery to cut it all off. Well, lucky you. Thank God you can't afford the surgery. So, yeah, eat your collagen.
Dr. Daniels, in a few of your podcasts, you said we could share your podcast on other platforms. How can that be done? You can simply take the link that you receive in your notification email and post it wherever you want to post it. And that way, it will take them to the video. And if there's a favorite podcast, is there a way to save it to the computer strictly for personal reference? Yes. Right now, we're hosting on Vimeo, and there is a download function on Vimeo. I don't know if you have to pay for it or not, but there is a download function. In other words, you might need to get a higher level Vimeo package or user permission in order to download whatever you want from there.
(17:26 - 19:29)
How do you calm down the kidneys? I go to the bathroom frequently during the day and four times at night. I take a few vitamins, but not many. I drink a lot of water, but I'm thirsty—had diabetes tested, not that. Okay, so if you're going to the bathroom four times at night, that is not a problem. That is a problem, but if you're not going to bed and you're not soiling your pants, then this is actually totally normal. Personally, I get up four times a night to go to the bathroom. Now, let's say you do whatever you've got to do so you can sleep through the night and not get up four times. What's going to happen is you're going to drive yourself into kidney failure and dialysis. So, if your kidneys are putting out this kind of liquid, that's a sign that you have excellent kidneys. So, I say, you know, send a little prayer to the heavens being thankful that at least you've got a good set of kidneys.
Hi, Dr. Daniels. The Candida report is mainly about parasite removal. That's true. I've read in other places just to use turpentine for general health, and they suggest taking it straight, not turpentine sugar. You can take turpentine straight—it will not kill you. However, it is a very unpleasant experience. As you can see, with me taking it with sugar, it is not like dessert. You don't look forward to it, right? But it's easy to do. So, it really is just like Mary Poppins said, a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down—it makes a huge difference, as she says, in the most delightful way. So, you can take it straight, but you're punishing yourself unnecessarily—it's just torture. Now, it's also okay to take it straight, but when you take it straight, the dosage changes because the behavior of turpentine changes—it's not the same. So, if you're going to take it straight, you're pretty much limited to six drops or less. Will a teaspoon cause damage in the mouth, throat, or stomach? I think so. The highest dose I've taken straight is six drops, and that was too much. When I say too much, I mean it created more distress than I wanted to experience on a regular basis.
(19:29 - 21:43)
Nisa sent a link to read directly from the email. Nisa, your link doesn't work—either that or my technology doesn't work. So, if you want to send questions, just type them out and send them. You used to recommend mixing oil and turpentine to use on your face. I have been using this for a long time. Do you still recommend it? I don't recommend it because there's too much room to misinterpret the instructions. Here's the deal—you can do it, but the concentration of turpentine has to be very low. So, one teaspoon turpentine and one cup of castor oil—stir it up. Absolutely safe to use that on your face. Applying turpentine full strength to your face? Not good. You can get seizures. So, because of that difference in dosing and the need for the audience to understand that, I don't recommend it.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
(21:43 - 21:56)
Thank you for your offering, Dr. Jen. You're welcome.
(21:56 - 22:13)
Question: What do you say about neuropathy, specifically B12 deficiency, and puffiness and dark spots on the soles of feet and heels? Let's say B12 deficiency. First of all, I don't think it's worth testing for B12—it's a waste of money and a waste of time. Eat a piece of liver—if you feel better, it was probably B12. I usually eat liver more often—super simple. There's your B12 problem. And if neuropathy is caused by B12, then it will improve and go away by eating liver, which has an exceptionally high level of B12.
(22:13 - 22:43)
Puffiness and dark spots on the soles of feet and heels—let me just say you could ignore them because, in and of themselves, they are useless. I mean, irrelevant. But what do they signify? They signify that you're not pooping often enough. The dark spots on your feet and your heels are actually poop that didn't make it out the bottom end, and your immune system's like, "Where are we going to put this?"—the feet. So that's the significance of the spots on your soles of the feet and heels.
What about puffiness? Puffiness is generally a sign of blocked lymph nodes. Why are they blocked? I don't know—lots of reasons. It could be heart failure, lung failure, kidney failure, or just simple blocked lymphatics from a parasitic infestation—call it worms. So, what I would say is eat some liver if you're worried about B12, and drink more water, and follow the Candida Cleanup Protocol—that would do it.
(22:43 - 22:59)
All right. That is it. That brings us to the end of today's show. And as always, think happens, and we'll see you next week.
