Introduction and Update on Mom
(0:00 - 1:05)
Hi, this is Dr. Daniels, and you are listening to Healing with Dr. Daniels. This is the Sunday, December 12th, 2021 edition, and today's title is If You Could Cure Depression for Free, Would You? Good question, good question. But first, we have to do our updates. Update on mom—oh my god, mom is walking from her bed to the kitchen, unassisted. Yes, unassisted. She did have a little problem; her wound opened up a little itty bitty bit, so she's going to do different types of exercises and try again. But she has decided at 90 years old that it is no fun being bedridden by golly, and she is determined. So, that is really, really good.

Also, at VitalityCycles.com is your copy of the Candida Cleaner Report that tells you all of the information you would ever want to know about adding turpentine to your health regimen if that's something you want to do.
Turpentine and Shilajit
(2:26 - 4:41)
People do email in questions, and we do answer questions on the podcast. If you have questions you'd like to be considered to be answered on the air, send them to jdaaniels at gmail.com. Now, let's talk about my progress. I am having an incredible time, and I’m exploring what good health is for. In Panama, we have something called Mother's Day, which was yesterday. I celebrated with my adopted family and played soccer with the adopted grandkids. One of them had a truck, and we built a parking lot for it—yes, a parking lot. We had a very good time. Also, as you know, cooking is my hobby. I cooked a turkey roast, which was delicious. My new adopted family was thoroughly impressed and asked if I would be back for New Year's, and I said, absolutely.
Taking Turpentine
(4:41 - 7:17)
So, I think we’ve covered everything, and we can move on to turpentine. We’ve got to take turpentine. Here’s our spoon that we use every week, and our white sugar—remember to label everything in your house to avoid confusion. We’re going to move our keyboard out of the way. Here’s our white sugar, and now let’s get the turpentine. I use a 3 cc pipette, and I take 2.5 cc of turpentine. I’ve been doing this for 30 years now, and it has helped me a lot by reducing the parasitic burden in my body, which I believe increases nutrient availability for my organs and extends life.
Shilajit and Its Benefits
(7:17 - 11:29)
Now, let’s move on to Shilajit. Shilajit is a natural substance that provides trace minerals, which are essential because our modern lifestyle breaks the natural mineral cycle. The amount you need is 200 milligrams. I take Shilajit daily, but I skip one or two days a week. Since our body’s minerals are not being replenished due to our modern waste systems, Shilajit helps compensate for this deficiency. I dissolve it in water and take it after the show, but it can spoil if mixed too far in advance. So, I recommend mixing it up only a day or two ahead of time.
Today’s Topic: Curing Depression for Free
(11:29 - 14:45)
Now, we can get to today’s topic. If you could cure depression for free, without spending a penny, would you do it? I stumbled upon the cure quite by accident. Recently, I’ve been feeling joyful and euphoric, and nothing seems to dampen my spirits. My daughter recently called, feeling a bit down and depressed, which led me to research this. I found that exercise is just as effective as antidepressants in treating depression. The important thing about exercise is to make it totally doable—start with something effective, like walking. Walking, as simple as it is, can elevate your mood quickly.
Exercise Tips for Treating Depression
(14:45 - 20:21)
To start, aim for a minimum of 30 minutes of walking. You might need comfortable footwear and clothing, and it’s helpful to link your walk to a daily routine. Pay attention to any difficulties you encounter during your walk, as they can guide your exercise program. You might notice tightness in your neck or hips, and you can address these with specific exercises at home. Walking itself is extremely effective, even though it’s low intensity, and once you’re ready, you can move on to more strenuous exercises like stretching. Make sure to prepare to sweat by drinking water and adding salt to your diet.
Diet and Exercise: A Balanced Approach
(20:21 - 27:03)
A lot of people don’t exercise because they’re tired, and diet plays a crucial role here. If you’re tired, try adding a half pound of liver a week to your diet. Once you’ve mastered that, you can add beef tendons, which help rejuvenate your tendons and make exercise easier. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, you can still take supplements to get some of the nutrients found in liver, but there’s no perfect replacement. For vegetarians, increase your intake of egg yolk. The liver is high in cholesterol, and this is important because cholesterol helps your body make vitamin D when you’re exposed to sunlight.
Questions and Final Thoughts
(27:03 - 31:11)
Now, let’s move on to some questions. One question is about cooking pig ears—my advice is to either pressure cook or slow cook them to reduce odors. Another question is about a 22-year-old with an ovarian cyst. My advice is to stop seeing the doctor if they’re suggesting removing the ovaries. Another question relates to vitamin D and calcium levels. The person seems to be healing on their own, so I recommend high-cholesterol foods like liver and getting some sunshine. That’s all the time we have for today. We’ll see you again next week, and as always, think happens.
